Heard a lot more than the usual rattling from their living area so I went to check on them, was too 
to noooootice they were fricking and I fed the female one (she's not as shy as the male one so she tends to approach us first) a Chinkchilla treat... and whoopsie the male was actually mounted on her and the sound was actually them banging against the metal 
Suffice to say there's no more noise coming from their area anymore

Your story hit me very hard Gabby. I’m a 28 yo guy who didn’t think he can get affected by stories like this but I haven’t slept the past 3 nights and can’t do anything productive seeing your face crying for help but no one around to save you everywhere I go.
