As far as I am concerned the social sciences are either complete bullshit with no predictive power, or evil, in the sense that the only use for them is coercion and manipulation.

a lot of social science is gunna have to be trashcanned in the near future if we want to have much hope in building a sustainable society.

science really only works well if u can control for all the variables, and when it comes to people... we just can't.

i would say making observations is good, but trying to build and assert models as necessarily true based on those observations is highly sus
