Animal abuse content is federally illegal to platform. And also to distribute from the user's perspective. Some is illegal to so much as possess. Obviously something like a deer getting shot or a bullfighter winning isn't animal abuse from a legal perspective, but WPD doesn't have a legal team and thus wisely forbids animal death in its entirety unless it's 1) incidental to the video and 2) clearly not abusive. This avoids lawfare against the site in retaliation for what it does host and allow speech-wise and it also avoids the slippery slope to people BMTposting.

I wonder how many of the people who have ragequit rDrama saying they're going to start their own with blackjack and hookers actually did it and just got their doors kicked in within a week because absolutely none of you are remotely familiar with really basic legality.
