Absolutely. I think it's almost guaranteed to experience cognitive dissonance between the way we exist in our lives and the way the world tells us to exist. Regardless of being able to do the same things that someone who is thin would be able to do, the only thing missing is that you are not thin. At least in my own experience, I feel like I am always trying to prove myself, my intelligence, my kindness, my worth and I am always trying to do it to compensate for the first things that people will notice-- my weight. It's exhausting. We are constantly marketed towards to lose weight to achieve this higher level of being and that it will solve all problems, or at least get closer to perfection.
Why don't they just be thin? For fricks sake…
