Thank God, already at work when I'm at the counter I'm humiliated, belittled, yelled at by Karens and crazy alcoholics, here at least there will be a little respite

/u/Cyberspace1559 literally just play on your phone as much as you can during your shift and take as long as possible to do anything your manager or shift manager tells you to do. If you seriously care about the interactions you're having throughout the day then this isn't the job for you.

Just do what you're told by superiors. I usually do stuff bretty quick though just cause of management. During downtime I just it unless I got something to do

Don't but it depends I guess. You literally won't recieve anything for being a hard worker if you're in the wagie space. Doing just enough to get by is fine when you're working in a space that just views you as an economic unit rather than an individual who can be valued for working harder.

Maybe depends on where you are, my gm instantly accepted me wanting to be a manager when I asked and he and other higher up's are quite nice and offer plenty of hours. RN we cut a lot of hours but I get the same I used to at around 30

You are the manager so that doesn't even apply to you.

I usually just ignore customers ranting or whatever, or not respond. You might think it's neurodivergent and it is but it takes the wind out of their sails
