i hate that kind of cope. YES it is common to have some weight gain during menopause. but 1) not that much, and 2) that does not mean you can't do anything about it.
same with people saying certain medical conditions/ medications/ genetics can cause weight gain. that is true but it just typically due to a slowing of the metabolism, and occasionally a harder time losing weight. it does not mean impossible to lost any weight and it does not mean you balloon up to 300 lbs. that's PURE cope and lack of responsibility
I would believe it adds 10 pounds if you don't change your diet, but people will take any excuse they can to explain away the 60+ pounds they gain in just a couple of years
yup natural it depends on the person and their metabolism and also what factor is causing the weight gain (like is it a medication like an antipsychotic (which even within that class some can cause more weight gain than others) or is it a chronic health condition, etc)
like my friend and i were on the same birth control and we both stopped it cause it sucked but for different reasons. for her she didn't gain weight, but i did, despite it being the same drug. my weight gain wasn't a huge deal cause i was pretty underweight but it WAS more than what i wanted so i lost about half of what i gained and am pretty content. but like…i didn't gain excessive amounts of weight like these people are claiming. just some. it was easy to lose after stopping it
i just can't wrap my mind over the mental gymnastics these people will do to justify their massive weight gain. how about do some actual gymnastics and lose some weight b-word
You will never have a real eating disorder. You have no angst. No delusion. No compulsion. You are a skinny person twisted by self-improvement and health into a crude mockery of true thinness.
