900 calories seems like a reasonable amount for the largest meal of the day.

Sure, but that’s just the base. There’s almost certainly hundreds more to add from sauce/oil/cheese.

Still a reasonable amount. A man is supposed to eat 2500 per day.

I mean, he's not exactly wrong.

But if you do that, no snacking at all. Which is where they fail.

No, they are very wrong. A man who is >6ft, lifting, and sub 10% bf can eat 2500 cals.

Most redditors should have no more than 800 calories a day.

I wonder what his breakfast looks like, cause it’s the most important meal of the day

2500 a day

I think a lot more people are 25% or more in body fat and don’t realize it. Unless you’re like 6’5” or very muscular that’s a lot of food

2500 kCal is normal. Except you have to understand the average fattards eat insane amount of snacks out side of meals, so 2500 kCal in meals means 3500 kCal per day.

Fair point, when I was 185 lbs my maintenance daily calories was 2700 and judging the number of skinny fat people I see around I feel like that seems kinda high… though that is maintenance

I would think 2700 calories for 185 pounds is kinda high. Your height and your job play a big factor but I'm tall with a somewhat physical job and 3000 calories puts me about 200 pounds.

I worked out a lot and had a pretty high bench, so I think that’s why mine was so high. I’m not sure what colorize intake should be for a sedentary individual, I’m guessing 1700-2200
