Other than the panko bread crumbs, the recipes for the German schnitzel and Japanese katsu are identical

They turn out roughly the same too regardless of which one you use, unless you use the one in the picture ("Italian Style") which has a bunch of herbs in it that will taste weird in Japanese food but would be pretty good on a schnitzel.
