I've started mixing my own so I can put exactly what I like in it. So far I have:
peanuts
almonds (the flavored ones work great for this, there's always a shitload of seasoning at the bottom of the container that seasons the rest of the mix)
roasted edamame (mediocre on their own but the macros are great and you can't really taste it mixed with everything else)
sunflower seeds
beef jerky
dried cranberries
dried cherries

i don't like sweet stuff in my trail mix. i don't make it often at all but i do like the reseasoned shit, like getting chex and tossing with a little oil + whatever seasoning and baking them for a while

I meant the plain chex only but yeah still is just carbs. trying to think of what else you can do this with, only can think of cheez-its lmao. i guess any nut is much better roasted. get some raw pecans and toss them in oil and roast, they're bomb with just salt but could add any sort of seasoning
