If you have an instant pot (or could prob be done with another things just not sure the timing) crack em into a small greased container, put it on the trivet, and put some water in the bottom of the IP. Timing varies depending on how many eggs + size of container I do like 10 mins on high for 6 eggs

You get a weird egg loaf that you can just chop up for egg salad or other salads if thats ur goal

Give em a sharp smack against the chopping board or counter to break one side. Then put the broken side down and gently roll the egg to crush the rest of the shell in a band around the circumference. If done right, the shell will be broken up into small kinda squares and you can peel the lot off at once on the membrane. Iiirc you can pop off the top and bottom easily, maybe need to crush them in the first roll tho. Then chuck em in a big bowl of water to take off any remaining bits of shell

I was watching Salesman (1969) about bible salesman going door to door in the 60s and it's all women at home by themselves during the day, and all they do is seem to sit there, and smoke, and are just happy to have company and someone to talk too. Almost always with a kid running around or a grandma. They had plenty of time to learn to cook before in between doing nothing.
