Tried the Tamago Kake Gohan (Ultimate happy egg cooked only with heat of rice from the heavens dish) that someone posted

It's not bad

I was really skeptical that the rice would cook the egg at all, so I might have used too much. The consistency was surprisingly fluffy.

I didn't have any msg, fancy soy sauce, or whatever the heck else the video had. So, it was just egg, soy sauce, and rice.

Pros: Texture was really pleasant. Much more so than I thought it would be.

Cons: Much blander than my typical egg dishes. This might just be because it was my first time with a dish that is especially unusual for westerners.

I might give it another try if I can find ways to kick it up a notch. I don't see it topping the 🐐 egg dish; a French omelet which only needs eggs, butter, and salt.
