(dragonstone) become a starborn (dragonborn) go to a temple and absorb powers (dragon shouts) by touching some alien

I let out a nervous chuckle when I saw the word "Starborn" for the first time in-game. Surely they can't be serious, right? For me Starfield was a tragi-comedy, where the humour gradually took over the sorrow and I kept being genuinely surprised with what Bethesda thought they can get away with after 76 and almost a decade since their last real game without anything to show for it.
Btw, necro-pinging should have some sort of penalty attached to it

That was me after buying Overwatch because Blizzard said "AFTER YOU BUY THE GAME ALL FUTURE HEROES WILL BE FREE". then they removed your access to Overwatch 1, rereleased it as Overwatch 2 and said "You won't be getting any more free heroes even though you paid because it's Overwatch 2 now".
Honestly, it's such a ballsy and shameless move I can only be in awe.

Basically my exact problem. Most of the issues people brought up were present in other Bethesda games. The real reason Starfield is bad is because they enlisted a developer known for their hand-crafted worlds to make bootleg No Man's Sky.

Yes the POI system is fricking r-slurred and is the actual problem with the game. Not "loading screens" or whatever the usual meme is, no one would give a frick about that if exploring was fun. But I'm not sure how I would fix it myself, since trying to fit the whole game into a small Skyrim-sized landmass would not fit the space theme. Maybe the lesson is that all
themed games are either empty grindfests or vaporware for a reason and the concept was cursed from the start.
To be honest I appreciate them doing something crazy like this even if it makes for an r-slured half broken game. If every AAA dev was willing to take inadvisable risks like
then maybe some fraction of them would be unique and interesting.
