Volvo's "one sequel max" strategy is, if you think about it, unintentional genius. You make a game off new IP, either it's great or it sucks. If it sucks, go back to step 1 (or keep yourself safe), if it's great, make a sequel. If it sucks, back to step 1, but if it's even better than the first odds are even if you're some sort of demigod you're not going to be able to top it again. So stop there, go back to 1, and start over with a new IP. You might succeed, there are series where it's at least a semi-consistent climb in quality, but it's rare and not worth the risk tbh. Listen to GabeN, print money.

This applies to movies, too, which is why there are basically no trilogies where the third installment is any good. T

What we know for a fact regardless of gameplay is that writing will be bad and that will ultimately be its biggest problem down the line. TBH I sort of like Starfields gameplay but that writing and dialogue ruins it big time.

Gameplay is alright :marseyokay: but the lack of handcrafted shit you'd actually :marseynerd3: want to explore is the issue.

They really :marseythinkorino2: just used a bad setting for the style of games :marseylegioncommander: they do. If they went more sci-fi with it and had alien :marseythumbsup7: ruins and camps, ruins of old human :marseycatbert2: shit, and things like that too explore it would've been received much better :marseysaulgoodman:

At this point, all the mods for TES III to V can sustain me enough to not care about TES VI.

Forget TES6, it'll be at least another decade before the next Fallout and it'll suck even more balls than 4 :marseydepressed:

Fallout is an undead franchise lmao. It'll never be what it was when New Vegas came out, let alone pre-Bethesda. It's kept alive only by brand recognition and multimedia promotions.
