It mentions deepfakes and misinformation in the press release, so I'd guess it's some of those fake photos and infographics that circulated on Facebook and the like. Of course, the only people I knew that were sharing those things were boomer relatives that were always going to vote Trump, and even they knew they were fake but thought they were funny.

I'm not really surprised, it's so cheap for foreign agents to frick with the US during election years it's no surprise that they do it. :marseyshrug: I agree it didn't actually move the needle on who won but it probably contributed to making the discourse more toxic which was likely the desired outcome.
