I'll never forget back circa the 2020 inauguration, we found out my ex's stepfather was doing unhinged fundie "prayer meetings" on FB live to audiences of like 6-7 people multiple times a month. About a week before the inauguration we tuned into one and he was giving a sermon about how the night before, god had "sent him a vision" (i.e. he had a dream) that the US Marines Corps was to come pouring out the back doors of the dais at the penultimate moment, "to prevent the Ephesians 6:12 demonic entity Joe Biden from ever placing his hand on that bible." They would then declare martial law and reinstate Trump as the true president, in Jesus' name. He'd already been streaming for over two hours when we joined the feed and started watching.

The cope stream he did the day after the inauguration was pretty great too.

My point being, wingcuckery of any form is a mental illness.

I honestly feel bad for these guys. For months, they've been bombarded with the idea that Trump's victory means the end of the United States, that their nonspecific "rights" will be stripped from them and everything would be horrible forever. These people clearly have some kind of mental illness, and they don't realize that they've fell for an insidious marketing strategy to scare people into voting. As soon as Trump won, the media simply stopped saying that, and these people are just left to further spiral into panic and anxiety.

No, I'm not stressed. Pluto is in Aquarius. It entered aquarius on Nov. 19th. Two weeks later Mario's brother happened. Pluto will be in Aquarius for the next 20 years. The last time it happened was 1776-1796. During the French and American revolutions. While I do believe many things can be changed in the world the Sky Clock is not one of them. There is larger astrology that guides larger world situations, and quite frankly anyone who wants to mess around with that energy can F around and find out. Americans are already ON THE BRINK with the wealth inequality and the level of suffering they ALREADY have in a supposedly free America. I dare them to try a totalitarian fascist theocracy. If they think that's going to go well, LOL ok. And the ironically biggest threat is going to be the MAGA ppl. When they realize they've been betrayed they will WILD OUT to a level we have never seen, but for once it will be aimed at those actually trying to oppress them.

So when the inauguration goes off successfully and nothing happens, do you think these people will turn on Kamala, or will they keep expecting "any day now, they're just gathering evidence and making sure it's water tight"?

>Amen. I can't even talk to my husband about any of this stuff, because just even talking about it stresses him out. In fact, I have noticed that he has become much more grouchy and irritable even when we are NOT talking about. It feels like we have this tidal wave of despotism just poised over our heads, and there is nowhere to run to escape its effects. Immediately after the election, I started looking up other countries to move to and checked into whether I am eligible for dual citizenship (I'm not), but my husband told me that I couldn't leave and ultimately feel okay about it without trying to fix the problem. Ironically, I am now all in to fighting the Orange Pumpkin and his minions (Is fElon really a minion...?? maybe more of a "maxion...???"), but he is still mired in despair and feelings of powerlessness. I keep bringing up historical precedents when the everyday citizens have effected real change even if took a long time and a lot of sacrifice (e.g., women's right to vote, civil rights movement, etc.). As for me, I keep harking back to the quote, "I have not yet begun to fight...." Tonight, we are getting with friends, wearing black, and holding a "wake." January 20, the real work begins.
