The agency also plays a role a key role in counter-terrorism, transporting nuclear weapons around the country and responding to nuclear incidents around the world. Recent focuses have included examining how AI can be used to make it potentially easer for people to make nuclear bombs, Hruby said.

"These are areas where we've been concerned and staffed up to respond to that," Hruby said. "These are working with high skill-levels that are willing to work around-the-clock if needed."

Oh, these people are useless. Very cool, government. Go frick yourself.

:#ancapnice:

Among the deepest cuts was to the Energy Department's Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations, where roughly 25% of its staff was eliminated, according to a breakdown of the cuts seen by Bloomberg News. That office received some $27 billion in funding from the Inflation Reduction Act, as well as bipartisan infrastructure law, to finance carbon capture, hydrogen and advanced nuclear projects. Among it's priorities is managing an $8 billion plan to establish a network of hydrogen hubs throughout the US.

Wow, more worthless shit.

The first one is

  • the Office of Secure Transportation. They're unmarked moving trucks filled with nukes and a squad of former SF shooters who move nukes off/onto vessels when they need servicing.

  • the people who surveilled and tracked the Fukushima incident

  • the people who study foreign nuclear efforts and figure out how to hijack them

You forgot the bullet and fire proof part of the trucks. Or that the trailers are electrified and contain a 50 cal auto turret.

Or that they are instructed to fire on LEO if they stop them and refuse to believe who they are.

They probably have even more epic defense shit but that's just what has been teased out through contracts.

Is any of that controversial? :#marseyconfused:

Do you know what nuclear weapons are?

Most countries just do a normal armed transport or they fly them around. They don't have nondescript trucks with auto turrets. US and Russia are the only countries that use PALs so it's not like they can use the nuclear weapons as nuclear weapons.

UK and France reprocess fuel so they frequently have plutonium being trucked around too. US are just kitties, won't even build long term waste storage.

I don't know if that's historically accurate. :marseysquint:

The US has Sigma 14 and Sigma 15 information categories which can be summarized as

  • nukes always explode when we want them to explode

  • nukes never explode when we do not want them to explode

  • nobody else can manipulate our nukes to explode

If you open a US nuke outside of standard maintenance it will kill itself permanently

They will frick up your universe if you harass them entering a military base too. "No you may not search the vehicle."

They aren't just electrified, but also block against x-ray and other remote surveillance.

My buddy works in trains. Sometimes he transports nukes, and says its such a pain in the butt because the Army and the contractor goons dont understand simple shit like "no you can't stand on top of the train when theres a bridge in the way because you'll fricking die" and "stop smoking cigarettes next to the fuel tanks" and "don't drink the water or wash your hands in the puddles by the trains because you'll die from all the heavy metals in the water"

You know it's a weird day if the fricking army is transporting nukes.

:marseyshrug: My train friend only sees dudes in multicam and Blackhawks and assumes they're Army. He transports other military equipment occassionaly too so I guess theres regular Army boys for non-nuke stuff on those days.

There's no way we can find people like this! :hysterical: And we need 50,000 of them at all times at the ready!!! :hysterical:

But OST only has a handful of dudes, and it's manned to match the actual maintenance schedules of the nukes.

Good luck finding a shooter who qualifies for a Q clearance. It takes 1+ year to interview all your neighbors and former employeers from the past 7 years.
