Unironically, it's MK players specifically.

They have a crazy good reputation for single player content, but when we are talking the "killing" of games, we gotta talk about the actual multiplayer

TLDR, the mechanics are often half-baked, the animations are parody-worthy, and Netherrealm/WB abandons each MK game after a couple years (whereas most other FG franchises support a game for 3-5+ years) because the initial sales are so high that they keep chasing the dragon

The story dictates the character designs in MK games and the story is dogshit. Liu kang gets god powers and rewrites everyone in the universe to be nice.

So you get a 1-2 combo of everyone acting like they've met for the first time and everyone being highly sanitized and smoothed over variations of themseleves.
