For the tournament - BTW Kouryu is banned
In The Last Blade 1&2 all characters have 3 "modes" Power, Speed and Extreme.
Power is similar to Fatal Fury or Street Fighter, individual attacks and specials deal more damage and have powerful combos but are hard to chain due to often intense links, in this sense very technical. Power mode has access to Secret Slashes i.e. Super Combos, extremely powerful finishers.
Speed is similar to DarkStalkers, everything can chain naturally, and comes out faster but does less damage. Speed mode does not have access Slashes instead the meter fills up to a state of Limitless combo, which should be self-explanatory.
The secret mode, Extreme strikes a balance between Power and Speed at the cost of a significant amount of health, a glass cannon archetype. EX mode has access to both Secret Slashes and Speed Combos.
