blade runner is good bc of the dystopian cyberpunk future aesthetic. it wasn't overdone at the time it came out.
taking a film noir gritty detective shit and putting it into that setting was kino.
Also Rutger Hauers tears in the rain monologue at the end is one of cinemas greatest moments. And he ad libbed that shit.
