It's unironically better than the first season at least. Baby orc cringe aside I didn't feel like gouging my eyes out every episode, maybe because Galadriel barely appears.
Sauron getting his butt kicked by a bunch of orcs (and he has to give them a speech to convince them to join him before lmao) followed by becoming venom was super cringe. I also don't understand why he went to Mordor to meet Adar if his plan was always to deceive Celebrimbor in Eregion.

: it was cheesy as shit besides the woke bull
I'm unironically enjoying it. I think people are primed to hate it bc they hate woke (it's not that woke it just has a black (?) dwarf and black elf and Isildur is brown-ish).
LOTR fans don't hate it because it's woke, but because it sucks as an adaptation of Tolkien's work, though I would argue it is very mediocre on its own right as well.
I already pointed out how ludicrous it is for Sauron (a powerful Maia) to get miffed by a dozen of orcs.
It's crazy how much more threatening Sauron felt in the Peter Jackson films and he was just an eye in those movies. In Rings he doesn't come off as intimidating as the characters treat him.

Oh that's cringe in a good way. I loved the Sauron gives a speech to 15 orcs scene
I guess it makes more sense when you watch it as a comedy

Rings of Power will go down as one of my alltime favorite shows ever, and I will have never watched even a full scene of it.

Hardly any media made after 2020 gets journoids calling it crap; and yet, invariably, everyone hates this slop.
How can that be? According to everyone: it's just really, really, really, REALLY bad.
