Some clips came up on YouTube, looked pretty good, both RT scores were good, anyone with an opinion on if it's worth watching?
Edit: apparently I have to clarify that I am talking about the 2024 movie, r-slurs.

I couldn't really get into it. I watched the one with Omarosa and she was entertaining.

Roy Cohn parts were great. Depictions of Cohn, Roger Stone, Donald in the first half were great. Fred Trump depictions feel inspired by Mary Trump's anecdotes which make him look like a Disney villain. I fricking hate Mary Trump. She's like the wine mom version of Malik Obama and I don't trust any of her recollections of family events.
Anyway. Second half begins getting into predictable Drumpfler territory. It's not super overblown but it starts getting into this vibe where Roy Cohn is disgusted by the monster he's created or whatever and it's a bit
I kinda liked it overall but would rather watch a movie about Cohn frying the Rosenbergs
paging @Redactor0 for Roy Cohn stories

I mostly just know about that scandal of trying to use his influence to get his gay lover out of the draft in WW2. My dad has a lot of stories about him continuing to be an butthole for the rest of his life but I can't remember any off the top of my head.
You ever wonder why his father chose one of the most notorious homosexuals in America to be his mentor?

Interesting, I've never heard of this guy outside of this movie, was he really like Trump's "mentor" or is it just cope

I wrote all about his big scandal here. Do check this out. It's fricking hilarious in an rDrama kind of way.
He really was. They apparently first met in 1971 when he represented them in a housing discrimination case. After that he spent a lot of time teaching young Trump how to be a scumbag. They maintained a weirdly close relationship for the rest of his life.

There's another documentary called Where's My Roy Cohn (based on a Trump quote) you might wanna check out after if you get as fascinated with this guy as I am. Him being Roger Stone's mentor also explains a lot. Cohn from all I can tell is not exaggerated in his depictions at all, he'd bring his lipsticked gay lover to conservative events after denying being gay as like a flex and nobody would say shit because he was a highly connected mob lawyer.

Haven't seen it yet but I have heard good things about it, specifically the performances of the three leads. I like that it goes for kino dogma of the years that it's set in and tries to mimic the cinema styles of each respective era.
