is 2024 the high of propaganda films?

Conclave is intersex, I think. I didn't see I Saw the TV Glow because of it, though I probably would have if there wasn't that angle. There's also Emilia Perez, and just over a year ago that Taika Waititi film about the most losing soccer team in the world that prominently featured a as the one person who had it all together. And that Ellen Page film about the sad pooner who goes home. There's a few more, as well.

I don't think Hollywood has hit peak trans yet, sadly. They'll go a bit harder still in casting and creating roles. But I do expect them to keep alienating people, including movie people, so they stop being the cause du jour.

Expect a big pro-trans push if Emilia Perez wins a single Oscar, though. Probably a Frick Trump while they're at it.
