At the same time, movies have an easier time doing that in January, when there aren't a lot of new big budget movies being released. Not that I'm going to say that the Minecraft movie is a guarantee to be a hit, but it's another big budget, heavily promoted family film that comes out in a couple weeks. Even if it flops, it'll probably push Snow White off of screens.
