The cops try looking for a manoshphere/Tate/redpill connection but they really don't find one, just a kid with a lot of repressed resentment and secret shame, who was getting publicly mocked for being an incel by a girl who rejected him. Boy is presented as mostly pathetic and fragile, but with an explosive temper at his limits

Its actually a pretty nuanced take. Manosphere/Tate stuff is in the background and certainly not presented in a sympathetic way, but it's not the villain of this story. Both of the kids are kind of presented as both villains and also victims, with social media's role in amplifying the effects of bullying, shaming, and social stratification playing a big role. Tater tots will hate it for obvious reasons, but the boy is not really presented as one of them

They ultimately conclude andy isn't to blame, but they do pursue it as a lead for way too long

It's a standard feminist trope at this stage because it's become too obvious that being a man means being shit on and abused for the benefit of comfortable women, so the morality has become "you should accept your place in life and be happy about it and thank women when they abuse you"
