Actually good, mature films exploring deep questions of faith and Christianity.

Ben Hur is my favorite but only because romans are cool. the remake gets a lot of shit but the scene with the legions marching into Jerusalem is one of my favorite scenes ever.

I'm actually interested even though I'm not a christstrag. Every Christian film I've ever seen has been an unbearable mess of cringe and cheese. I know you guys can do better

Some are very good im gonna explain some of the mentioned on my list:
1 - Kingdom of Heaven is a historical movie about the Third Crusade and the relations between muslims and christians in the holy land during that period, featuring famous characters like Saladin and Balian of Ibelin, it is full of action (its a medieval war movie) but its deep too and will make you think about tolerance and religion, the directors cut is the best version. My favorite kino of all time. I strongly recommend you watch it as you dont need to be christian to enjoy it, I first wactched it when I was in my teenage atheist years and it instantly became my favorite regardless.
2 - Passion of Christ, I don't recommend you watch this one unless you are Christian or familiar with the life of Christ, it is about the last 12 hours of the life of Christ and the brutal Torture and death he went through, it is the most violent movie I have ever watched and definitely not for the weak. Christians will call it Kino while non Christians will call it torture porn/snuff film.
3 - For Greater Glory is another historical war movie about the Cristero War in Mexico, when the mexican government outlawed the church and the catholics rebelled, it is full of action as well as deep emotional moments but might be a bit cheesy if you are not Christian.
4 - Prince of Egypt is an animated movie about the biblical story of Moses and how he took the Jews of Egypt to the promissed land, a certified Kino and highly regarded as the best/ one of the best animated movies of all time.
Overall I recommend you watch Kingdom of Heaven (directors cut) and Prince of Egypt if you like animated movies.

Is the Director's Cut of Kingdom of Heaven that different from the theatrical version? I watched the original and thought it was pretty OK, but nothing special outside of its budget.

Yeah the difference is huge the directors cut is 50 minutes longer and actually explain the backstory of all the characters in the movie. The people that decided to create the theatrical version should be shot for crimes against kino

Some people are able to display their intelligence by going on at length on a subject and never actually saying anything. This ability is most common in trades such as politics, public relations, and law. You have impressed me by being able to best them all, while still coming off as an absolute idiot.
