No write up or quick observation like last one I did for Return of the Living Dead. This one really speaks for itself, and I’m more certain will be unfamiliar to a larger number of you. This is one of my favorite spy films. Max Von Sydow is particularly excellent. If you ever wondered where Walter White got his threatening speech he gave to Elliot and Gretchen in the BB finale about “the scrape of a shoe behind you and then BANG, blackness”, he took it wholesale from this movie.

As an aside, I have noticed that we don’t have much in the way of CONVERSATION about these movies. I’m equally at fault, but I promise to be more engaged with other’s posts, if we think this hole is aiming to be a semi-serious (BUT ALWAYS DRAMATIC, ALWAYS PRO CCP ALWAYS TRANS RIGHTS) avenue to kind of halfway let the drama mask slip and actually discuss movies.
I just… I put coin into this hole (thank you @AngrySteve) but think right now it is aimless but has GREAT potential not just to have good discussions about movies but to generate at least it’s own “tithe” of drama because hey— who the frick can ever agree on a critique?
Maybe instead of a free for all, we might consider SELECTING a movie for discussion on any given day (not blocking anyone of course from submitting what they will), but to FOCUS discussion in a way that engenders open discussion?
I’m up for anything, maybe especially something I haven’t seen, whether I like it or not. But I’m really hoping for discussion. I LOVE movies and great tv. Please let this hole be dramatic and good, not just a fricking vanity
