As we all know the top tax bracket is >50% in some provinces. Way too high for what we get out of it. Looking to pay less, anyone got any tax evasion tips for next year? I've got a sole proprietorship on the side if that helps. Already maxed RRSP and FHSA so no luck there.

I know lots of business owners "employ" family members so that they each earn a salary in a more agreeable bracket than if one person earned all that money.
Maybe get a native ID card and claim you live on rez??

Unfortunately still have to pay both sides of cpp when paying family members. I think best is to incorporate and take dividends instead. The native hack is such a good grift, wish I could one drop rule my way in but I'm as white as they come
