How is this national news? Folding bollards existed for about 100 years now…
Because it's meant to stir up anger. Just another in a long line of National Post garbage articles.
Reddit has become a ragebait cesspool lately. It's disappointing.
If you haven't noticed, this sub solely exists to shit on the country and make it out to be 100x worse than it really is.

indians dont commit a lot of crime in Canada, a lot of hindus have decent jobs, it's mostly the new student visa ones ruined all the nice things by being in public with huge numbers without social etiquette and a ruthless sense of exploiting everything around them while putting in as little effort into society as possible
Jump in the discussion.

Canada just accepting masses of useless Indian students for worthless degrees as long as they pay to come over should be considered as one of the most r-slurred human trafficking schemes ever. Yet you have mayos on Reddit who claim that these students are good for Canadian economy, leaving out the part that this just manifests as corporations benefiting from the extra consumption and cheap low-skill labor. Meanwhile the housing shortage keeps worsening despite Canadian cities being ugly shitblock filled hellscapes, and the heckin wholesome universal healthcare system is grinding to a halt as the population influx doesn't come with enough actually skilled workers like medical professionals.
And of course the Leaftards on Reddit think the solution is to just tax the country into oblivion in the middle of a brain drain to Muttistan.

Didn't the Canadian government tell people to leave their car keys outside so criminals wouldn't break into their homes?

If the government told me I wasnt allowed to defend myself from criminals I would actually go full on militia tard.
Idk how canadians accept this.

The Stars My Destination by Alfred Best has been considered one of the first "cyberpunk" literature to exist, and while corny by today's standards I thought it was still a fun read.
Shadowrun for snes was pure fricking kino and I'll dump peepee down your throat if you larp otherwise
Matrix shredded the globe in 2. It changed cinema. It changed vidya. It made the wachowski Brothers chop off their peepees and become the wachowski sisters.
I won't even mention the game crassly named Cyberpunk (2077). It's a strange and fun game, explores a lot of transhumanist themes while recognizing the unshakeable human condition. Cyberpunk was never shit.

I liked the film the Long Kiss Goodnight. I think it was the only other one worth watching.
I also kinda liked the first Iron Mans but I like Tony Stark as a character so idc what it had to do with cyberpunk, it's still a good movie.
