Honestly the one I linked is actually good, not just okay or more than okay. It's not YA slop, the writing is high quality, and the story is interesting. Sure, it's not exactly high literature but I've read published books that are a heck of a lot worse

Oic. I'm basically the opposite - once I've started something it's really difficult for me to not finish it. Unless it's total garbage I get really sucked in, so I try to be careful about what I start reading and if it ends on some cliffhanger with no updates for 7 years and no sign of the author since 2019 I get really mad :#marseyrage: at this point I mostly get mad at myself for not noticing tho
