At least the comments replying to this person understand the story. TKAMB is literally all about the failure of one good white person to enact institutional change and is instead about how the silver lining is he's able to at least change his daughter's views about Boo Radley but the story is written from his daughter's POV and as Go Set a Watchmen shows Scout didnt grasp the full gravity of the racism of that era

Not even institutional change. Atticus isn't an activist, he never advocates for civil rights, he just wants his client to have a fair trial and the jury to actually pay attention to the evidence. That's merely upholding the law within the current system and institutions.
His client was innocent and he makes the most convincing arguments for it, but neither the jurors nor anyone in town can let go their prejudices.

GSaW is more adult than TKaM imo. Mockingbird is a well written kids book about prejudice, Go Set tackles more realistic prejudices
