every time I try to play sims the building or character creation is the only thing that ever holds my interest, but at the end I feel a horrible pit of emptiness and regret

I have a shit ton of build and buy mode CC. I have never used blender or zbrush but I can draw architecture by hand or on like procreate. How helpful is that for the latter programs?
