IMO it's incompatible with the ability to private your profile, and freely privating a profile is a fairly necessary feature you can't put behind goomble or pisspig walls for reasons we saw demonstrated during the first few months here of every forum since septembrio 1993 
Edit: case in point, I can't post on @christmaspathianflorist 's wall to say wall posting is bad feature bc it's private. If i could do that, this post wouldn't need to exist

Yeah I started a whinge thread yesterday about that but left it unpublished when I came to my senses and realised I needed to actually do some frickin work instead of complaining about features on a cat forum.
But still, all my favourite people I first went to post on had private profiles. I had to settle for frickin pizzashill.
