It's entirely dependent on whether people are willing to use and provide content for a site dedicated to one topic.

I think he intended to have every fork there on an opt-in basis, but this was back in the early days when it seemed like other people would also be successful with this lol
Vidya.cafe started as a fork but quickly became their own thing with a bunch of unique features, jboi and kroner came up with good new stuff. Our Win98 theme is actually because of jboi.
I think PCM recently hired their own cooder cuz they wanted new new stuff. Vaguely remember hearing something about that ๐ค
