Eh, I dunno. They both kinda suck. Don’t get me wrong, I like an ordered society, I just don’t dig the level of invasiveness that either bring to the table. I have a theory that a lot of it has come from the empowerment of women (to clarify, I don’t hate women) while they held onto their role as enforcers of morality. This leads to larger and larger attempts to reign-in the perceived moral woes of society (look at MADD, anti-smoking campaigns, anti-racism, anti-rap and tell me who was at the forefront of those movements)
The “good old days” have always been a psychological illusion anyway, the current time is the best time to be alive, it’s even better if people get off the fricking internet and talk to real humans.
