I can't wait for DeSantis to win in 2024 so that I can watch white liberals get mad at "toxic latinx males"

Honestly it's surprising. Isn't the house where the Republicans struggle more?

Nah, the house almost always goes to the opposing party during midterm years. The senate is usually the tricky one since only a third of the seats are up at any given time and even if the R's should have an advantage it's mainly R seats that are up for reelection (and in states that aren't 100% reliably red). That combined with the abortion ruling is why the D's are doing uncharacteristically well in the Senate races :marseyfox:

R's nominating a bunch of absolute r-slurs for senate doesn't help. Every election year these people manage to nominate some "I am not a witch"-tier mong for one of the most powerful positions in the country, and this year there's like three of them.

I thought it was the case that the Republicans in general struggle in house e.g. how they couldn't win it 20 years straight even during Reagan until Bush II though.
