An elite national army unit has announced it has seized power in Guinea and deposed the country’s president, Alpha Condé, in an attempted coup, after heavy gunfire was heard near the presidential palace in the capital, Conakry, on Sunday morning.

The army is usually like the 4th branch in these types of countries.
So they weren't getting bribed enough to keep towing the line.
Also why "elite" units get trained and then all the members scattered to the 4 corners of the country so they can't group up and coup.

Toyota really need to stop printing their name so big on trucks they sell to shithole countries.
Everytime I see a report from some place suffering from a famine, a civil war or a tsunami of AIDS there's always a huge TOYOTA there. I've come to associate the poverty, violence and disease of the Global South with their vehicles.
Funnily I associate Toyota as the AK-47 of the car world.
Their cars are so literally so r-slur-proof that literal illiterate sub-100 IQ monkeys can abuse the everloving frick out of them and it will still work.
What? It's great advertisements for the Hilux. All these 3rd world armies and militias ride rough with them and you know they don't do proper maintenance, yet they still run like champs
