Wait isn't that actual sedition (?) ? Wanting the military to bypass the civilian government to own the orangeman. They'd literally ask for the death penalty in an expedited martial Court if someone did that to prevent anyone from their side from uh... defending democracyโข.

It sounds like it, but depends upon the real official protocol for launching nukes.
If the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs must sign off on nuke launches, no. If that's not the case, that implied oath was a planning for a bona fide military coup. And that is not a dramatized answer. That would actually meet the definition for a military coup.

The military preventing a coup doesn't really meet the definition of coup, does it?
Trump was pretty openly trying to steal the election, the military doesn't serve the out-going president, they serve the country.

Idk man, in my opinion anyone celebrating this is downright r-slurred because you are saying good job military trying to work around the civilian overhead. On the other hand it's only a military coup if they followed through with their actions which is a situation that didnt occur. Of course all of this only applies if he is not required to sign off on a nuke launch.
