The proper way to do a "land acknowledgement" in boomer times and I don't think it offended anyone.

Also the guy who made it was Iranian so I guess by zoomer standards he was an AAPI. :marseylaugh:

I'm sure the remake has gone on far longer than the original by now. Something like ten seasons?

But now acknowledging that a native person could have done something bad is forbidden, kind of hard to deal with when you're doing a mystery of the week show and trying to cast locals. I wonder if the new one has a land acknowledgement in the end credits. Lots of movies and shows do now.

New Zealand is worse, though, including things like a movement to rename the country to the Maori version because Colonisers Bad. They wouldn't make Once Were Warriors today, not our heckin' peaceful Maorinos.
