I think the tilt-rotor concept has a lot of potential but this is the worst defense procurement program
ever. I remember in the '90s it was already crashing and way over time and budget. It should
have been ready
25 fricking
years ago and it's still not today. There
is something
deeply wrong
with our society
when nobody has been executed or even sent to prison
over all the money
and lives
lost.
V-22 Ospreys will be mostly grounded into 2025

It's not even close. That goes to the independence class littoral combat ships. The Navy has sunk bullions into those pieces of shit, and they're completely unfit for combat. They're already slated for decommissioning.

They wanted ships that did one thing well and they would lose during a war. Congress mentally cannot handle losing ships so they instead gave money for womderwaffen ships that couldn't do anything.

Oh yeah. And the Zumwalt. The Navy managed to piss away its entire budget for research and procurement 2000-2020.

What's funny is they may be refitting it for long range missiles.
