There are only contradictory X(formerly known as Twitter) posts about this and some articles on sites like this forex one or an indian newspaper and nothing on AP and Reuters yet.

Yes they do, which is why they all purge their enemies ASAP upon taking power. Deng Xiaoping, enjoyer of limited markets, actually survived multiple purges and jail time before he finally managed to seize power from the turbo-commies and then purge them in return.
They are in large part responsible for commie theory instructions, foreign policy and some other shit.

They give them fun names too like Xi Jinping Thought or Scientific Outlook on Development (Hu Jintao's version).
