Low skilled immigration being a long term negative is complete nonsense.
Europe in general puts massive barriers between migrants and work, forcing them onto welfare with no real way to even benifit the economy, and keeping them poor. Thats it. Its a combination of racism, and systems like unions that actively prefer natives and work requirments that push out anybody who isn't a native, leading to massive unemployment.
!chuds unironically one of the few good things unions do
Always funny to me how many migration conversations take place without any accounting for how beneficial it is for the migrants themselves.
It's such a huge benefit that imo it outweighs whatever downsides there might be for the receiving population.
I always wonder what the end goal of open borders peoples are. Move everyone from the third world into ghettos in the first? Leave the third world a barren wasteland?

This is complete nonsense, other than the regulatory barriers that price out workers. The highly attractive welfare package isn't forced on them; it's there to "solve" poverty (buy votes).
also like From my experience it seems like you jump from <40k to >100k as soon as you get literally any qualifications, but if you were on gibs you net less money as soon as you cross like 30
ok so We should probably let people keep a portion of their gibs if they can prove theyre preparing to make the leap to 80+, so they can get a feel for what having savings and good credit is like
If I had a paid off house in the countryside Id take that salary like just to hang out with chill ambitionless nerds and take 3 hour lunches and its EVERYTHING

This is the part no one ever wants to talk about. If suddenly uncle sam was giving you a 100K a year life style for nothing would you bother working?
