🚨BREAKING: Rubio presented an ultimatum to the President of Panama regarding the Panama canal: "Absent immediate changes regarding Chinese influence, the US will take measures necessary to protect its rights under the Treaty"

This is just about the only thing we could possibly do to give control of the canal to China. There have been so many of these moves in the last couple weeks that hurt America and benefit foreign countries, it really makes you think.

It's outdated anyway. Northwest Passage is going to be transit-able by regular ships within a decade (one of the reasons why Canada and the US are both calling for massive increases in icebreaker purchases). It's so much faster to go East Asia to Europe that way than by Suez/Africa route or by the Panama Canal it's ridiculous, and there's no ship size constraints either. Panama's trying to milk as much out of the canal as they can before its obsoleted.
