Premium subreddits have existed for years.

Under the old style of monthly "reddit gold" you had access to /r/lounge, but you could also create subreddits that required paid gold status.

But it was "all or nothing" and not individually managed per subreddit.

Long as they allow the biggest fricking hall monitors and theater kids run this place, it'll never change.
