Net zero by 2050 is a fantasy but filling the stratosphere with sulfur might not be the brightest idea (I think they'll eventually do it regardless). Banning research on it is super r-slurred though, how else will we know whether it could work.

Yes and we stopped it because it caused acidic rain and eroded the Ozone layer, and that wasn't even on the scale necessary to cool the planet 1.5 °C
