Yes even Sonic 1 and 3 on Genesis included. They have never ever figured out how to actually feel fast and make momentum part of the gameplay like Pizza Tower did - throughout all the 2D and 3D games there are just random stops killing your momentum and sections that are purposefully, unnecessarily slowed down.
Sonic games suck.
