There are atually times when you can bet on the coinflip in sports and win money regardless of the outcome.

Apparently back in the early days of online gambling it was actually quite lucrative to arbitrage bets since there were so many startups that didn't really know what they were doing.

Now I'd guess that taxes would r*pe you hard enough that it's not worth it. IIRC you pay tax on the winning side and can't write off the losing side right?

I'm sure that's true. Immature markets are great for this. Arbitrage on crypto markets used to be amazing, too.

There's no tax on gambling in my country. But yes, I believe that's how it works in the US.
