i didn't choose the venue
too expensive for my taste but my dad loves to hike and wanted to see the waterfalls 
naturally literally everything in the country is built to suck as much money from tourists as possible
unfortunately i don't enjoy sightseeing much unless it's somewhere remote with no people. i was lukewarm on the idea of overseas travel and after my first experience i can say i probably won't bother again

You should have visited more remote towns if you wanted that sort of experience, be it ákranes, vík y mýrdal, Húsavík, Grímsey, etc. there are usually no people or almost no people at those locations although it will probably be another time when that happens
