Naturally this is capitalism's fault
A few people call out the r-slurred ad
I mean 12.5k is vastly indulgent for a vacation, and a basic car isn't 65k.
Where does a basic car cost $65.000, and a vacation $12.500?
The rest is just various levels of poorcel cope and why it is society's fault they suck at life.

An extremely nice and reliable car is 2k and its called an early 00's corolla.
Also vacations are ridiculously cheap if you arent r-slurred about it. You dont need to forgo them. When I was in college I did a week in seoul for under $1k everything included and I paid for it by flipping shit on ebay from the thrift store across the street for like a month.

decent burg and fries is roughly ~14 usd, 'vacation' is pretty vague, a basic car thank God isn't 65,000 dollars unless you want like a brand new pickup. Pretty accurate on the burgers I guess.

Interestingly, they understand burger to mean 'nice burger from nice place,' which the ad obviously wasn't alluding to, else it would have said, 'a nice dinner.'
They also complain about being serfs. If literally every single person in America can't have a solid gold Funko, then capitalism has clearly failed us.

I miss ads like this unironically, there was so much 'soul' in advertising that rapidly declined until the early 2000s where it became fricking terrible (tbf this ad is a rare gemmy for the late 90's)
The ads in shit like Mad Men are eye candy for me compared to the modern vomit grubhub kroger dancing and "burgers?" ads that don't relate to the product at ALL and just end on a single frame of the company logo
yes I am mad about this

With my boomer hat on, most younger people live in overpriced cities and are also entitled. You could spend that much on those things even 60 years ago if you were Howard Hughes. Decent burger in my state not in an overpriced city can be had for $10-$12, a decent car is like 20k, and you have not only more vacation options, but more affordable too. Look at how ghetto "exclusive" vacations like disneyworld and cruises have become thanks to carnival cruise and spirit airlines.
