Smoke alarm meme is very forced

During covid I had to do a lot of conference calls and a black female coworker always had that chirp in the background when she was talking. The meme wasn't around yet but we still gave her shit for not changing the batteries and her excuse was "Meh, you stop noticing it after a while."

So in my lived experience the meme is real.

How is it forced? It's organically popping up in videos left and right?

Yes, Big Nine-Volt is psy-opping the black community by planting chirp noises in all of their recordings in an effort to get them to buy more batteries.

An apartment building in my neighborhood burned down last year because the family living in a unit started a grease fire in their kitchen. I distinctly recall their smoke alarm going off for several weeks before that whenever I walked my dog by the building. I've witnessed the meme irl
