Simply have a rich sister and brother in law who will bail you out if you get in a bind
*when I was facing layoffs they offered to pay my expenses for a full year if needed, was really kind of them. Luckily it worked out and I never had any unemployment time but it helped with the stress I was facing. I would do the same for them. Love them ♥️
A foid friend I have unresolved tension with offered me help with the mortgage after layoff, of course I refused as a stand up moid, but huh that's how affairs start isn't it?
For the cost of 2 mortgage payments she could have me in an awkward spot and she could probably get that down to half a month with the right perfume and some sheer
Yeah lol she really cracked the frickin code there
It is important that when you're married, to change your mindset of "my money" and "your money" to "our money".
This is unironically true for money you're making/spending when married. But you're fricking stupid if you think that 110k in consumer debt pre marriage is "ours" lol. Also did see her say who had the debt before they got married so 100% it was hers.
I dunno, she also brags about establishing a 1k emergency fund (lmbo). Which means both of them had no savings and probably debt. Or the husband isn't contributing his past savings, that's still his money.
Would bet she's never once called it "our debt" out loud to him, just her friends and reddit. Gurantee this is her coping about a pretty massive problem in their marriage because she's the one that caused the problem.

Somehow this wisdom doesn't apply to CICO. Then again, the r-slurs on Financial Audit seem to think being upside-down an a car loan is an investment so .

Personally I'm not a poorcel, but I think it's great to marry somebody with financial discipline, and being poor shouldn't stop people from having a fulfilling relationship. All other things being equal, I'd rather marry a trailer park b-word who is frugal and knows how to budget rather than a high-maintenance woman who comes from money but also spends it like water. My ex may have turned out to be a worthless cheating narcissist but one of the few good things I will say about her is that she had great financial discipline and it was something that I really admired about her. Credit where credit is due
Also, $110k in debt is very reasonable when you consider the price of your average mortgage in a big city. It all depends on where the debt originates from

What makes you say that? Not being sarcastic: I'm genuinely curious
I mean I guess I could be wrong. People talk about mortgages differently.
They would have mentioned if it was student loans, real estate or a mortgage. They're talking about CC debt, possibly student loans from degree mills, upside car loans etc

Dude, in Boston a three bedroom house within walking distance of the T costs half a million. Even if you had put down 80% (which is unheard of) you're gonna have $100k of debt. A person in that situation is actually really well off.
Like if a partner is $100k in debt because they got a college degree in Art History you should run as fast as you can, but if they're $100k in debt because they own property then they're actually doing pretty well for themselves. There's a huge difference between bad debt and good debt. I just don't think being $100k in debt is necessarily a bad thing when practically every urban homebuyer is in that situation
Core female necessities like make-up, shoes, clothing, jewelry, lash and nail appointments add up. You have no idea how hard it is to be a woman; these should be considered women's rights that the government pays for 💅
If you wanna save money go to Lidl and buy their expiring today shit. 50% on regular stuff like bread which was baked yesterday and is still in great condition. I "meal prep" the expired meat and stuff and then freeze and save a lot of money on groceries. BIPOC.
Its not expired. The labels are there to mark the date where you should practice caution before preparing it but they dont indicate the state of the meat.
If you truly want to save time and money, I would suggest you look in meal kit deliveries! They were such a life saver for me because, just like you, I need that extra time to get 'more important' things done.
Check out EveryPlate, which only costs $5 per meal for 2 or 4 people. If you're on your own, a meal for two can cover 2 of your meals instead! Plus, you can snag up to 18 meals for just $3.33 each, with free first-time shipping. This will definitely help you manage your spending and skip those unplanned takeouts. Hope this helps!
I wonder how such a smart, frugal person acquired so much debt
The proper way to use those services is by getting a free or massively reduced first week, then cancel, and use a different service the following week.
You can probably get groceries for at least a couple months for maybe $100 total
I see the poors are pretending to be big wallet niggas again est. 2016
Hello, welcome to 'I see the poors are pretending to be big wallet gangstas again'
This hole exists as a safe space for refugees from the Facebook(MetaTM groups of the same name. Of which there have been several iterations. We mostly exist to poke fun at the state of living in poverty. While it oftentimes is unavoidable, we do aspire to not be meanspirited. Over the years we have co-opted the term 'Peak Poor' to being someone who exudes poverty, regardless of their actual net worth. Trump and Elon both exhibit the peak poor ethos from time to time while still being the top 0.000001%. You can do something peak poor and still be a good person or a generally adjusted one. We all have a bit of poor in us.
We basically fill a niche similar to fatpeoplehate with a bit less actual malice.
PeakPoor is shotgunning mountain dews at 5 years old.
PeakPoor is not people dying of poverty. While technically the greatest heights of poverty is succumbing to it this is not funny, and is a failure
of capitalism. We do not make fun of poverty to be mean spirited such as that.
Read the room, if it's punching down too hard or really digging into someone whos a sympathetic character it doesn't belong here. (basically READ THE ROOM)

Subscribe to this hole, it's important that we get our numbers up. Love numbers = peak poor
Bonus points for making your post title some variation of peak poor. (Pinnacle of Poverty, Prowess of the Penniless)
